Kingston Sheep Dog Trials

See you this weekend onboard the yarntruck at the annual Kingston Sheep Dog Trials! There's lots to see and do!  Onboard the yarntruck you'll find new yarn from Ontario's own Yarn Indulgences, plus beautiful new linen needle cases. Admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Don't forget your lawn chair and sunshade for knitting and dog-watching enjoyment! Spinning and Weaving demos are by members of the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners Guild and then the famous Sheep-to-Shawl Competition is Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shawls go up for auction at 3:30 on Saturday. Verona August 4

Come to Verona on Saturday, August 4 to help celebrate Ewe Can Knit's third anniversary! The Purlin' J's yarntruck, Lil Dorothy, is visiting from 10am to 2pm.  The Ewe Can Knit shop is located around the corner from, and in the same building as the Verona Convenience store (at the corner of Highway 38 and Walker Street). You might win a gift basket! Artfest Kingston

The yarntruck is back at ARTFest! Look for the truck "Lil Dorothy" near Barrie and King Streets in City Park, Kingston, Ontario (official spot: Orange 1). Opening hours are 10 - 6 daily. Free admission!      ARTfest features 200 artists and artisans from across Ontario and Quebec for THREE days starting Saturday, Sunday Canada Day and Monday! Walk the shady paths throughout the park. After shopping at the yarntruck, enjoy outstanding pottery, glass, wood, jewellery, gourmet food, live music, art workshops, live outdoor theatre, poetry, food trucks, and more! Also: Craft Beer & Wine Tent!

Lansdowne, Ont. and Skeleton Park

You have two opportunities to shop the yarntruck this weekend! The first is Saturday June 23 at the Lansdowne Textiles Festival (Lansdowne Community Building, 1 Jessie Street, Lansdowne, ON) and then again on Sunday June 24 at the Skeleton Park Arts Festival in Skeleton (McBurney) Park in Kingston! New onboard you'll find new hand-dyed sock yarn from our friends at All Dyed Up! and Red Sock Blue Sock, as well as some brand new custom-dyed gradient sets from Sweet Paprika! Picton FibreFest May 26

The Purlin' J's yarntruck is back for its sixth season, and we're kicking things off with a visit to the Prince Edward County 2nd Annual FibreFest on Saturday, May 26, 9 - 4:30. Find the yarntruck in the outdoor market section of vendors. Onboard you'll find some new yarns from Koigu, Lichen and Lace, and Fibrelya! Plus custom-engraved Kollage brand square knitting needles.  Admission to the PEC FibreFest is $5 and children 12 and under are free.
