Shop the yarntruck at Frontenac Mall for #ILoveYarnDay

Yes, #ILoveYarnDay is a thing! And Purlin' J's is celebrating! Shop the yarntruck on Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16, and enter your name in the draw to win a gift basket of yarn and goodies valued at $100. Just come aboard and fill out a ballot! The draw takes place Sunday at 2:30 pm.  The yarntruck is open October 15 and 16, at Frontenac Mall in Kingston, from 10 am to 3pm both days. Look for Lil Dorothy near the HockShop!

Needle Arts Fair October 1

Shop the yarntruck this Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 10am to 3pm at the Senior's Centre, 56 Francis Street in Kingston, for the Needle Arts Fair! Hosted by the Cataraqui Guild of Needle Arts, the Needle Arts Fair features exhibits, demonstrations, and over 20 vendors from Ontario and Quebec, including the yarntruck! See Guild members' work, an exhibition of purses and bags from the Embroidery Association of Canada’s Collection, and a special display of felted sculptures by Gesina Laird-Buchanan. Admission to the Fair is $5. Silent Auction! Door Prizes! Lunch is available onsite.  Visit the yarntruck at the north end of the building.

Etsy Made in Canada Craft Fair

Saturday September 24 is a day of pop-up Etsy markets all across Canada! The Kingston show is at Grant Hall on Queen's campus from 10 am to 4 pm. The #yarntruck is there all day! Now is the time to think about your gift knitting. Socks? Thrummed mittens? Start now to be sure all of your knit-worthy friends and family members have a little handmade something under the tree!

Almonte FibreFest

This weekend of September 10th and 11th is the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum’s 21st annual Fibrefest.   Purlin’ J’s Roving Yarn Co. will be outside the Almonte Arena both days. Yarntruck hours are Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm; Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm. Admission to Fibrefest is $5.00 per day, which includes access to all sites. At two locations, the Museum and the Almonte Arena, visitors will find demonstrations, vendors, and exhibits—a full two-day festival of fibre arts! Local guilds will demonstrate spinning, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, lacemaking, smocking and quilting. Back to the Farm: Mackinnon Brothers Beer & Music Festival

The Purlin' J's yarntruck is in Bath, Ontario this Sunday August 21 at the second-annual Back to the Farm: MacKinnon Brothers Beer and Music Festival. It's a field party with live music, craft beer, food [and yarn] trucks, and more! The gate opens at 12 pm, the first band starts at 1 pm, and it's all over at 10 pm.  You can park for free, and there are shuttle buses available from/to Kingston.
