The Almonte FibreFest takes place 7 & 8 September in two locations: the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, and the Almonte Community Centre. Visitors will find demonstrations, vendors, and exhibits. Local guilds will demonstrate spinning, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, lace making, smocking and quilting. Vendors include spinners, weavers, and fibre artists from across the province, as well as quilt shops, alpaca farms, and the Purlin' J's yarntruck!
North Market Cafe (78 Mill Street, Almonte) will provide a tea room onsite, featuring homemade goodies, beverages and sandwiches.
Admission: $6/day that includes access to all sites.
Fibrefest 2019 hours: Saturday 10 am to 5 pm; Sunday 10 am to 4 pm
