The last few weeks have been busy ones as Lil Dorothy, Purlin' J's yarntruck, gets ready for her seventh season, starting 25 May in Picton at the PEC FibreFest. Kingston Fall Fair! Friday and Saturday

Visit the Purlin' J's yarntruck on Friday and Saturday, 14 and 15 September, at the Kingston Fall Fair! The S.A.B.L.E. knitters are demonstrating all day Friday in the Bennett Barn as part of the Agricultural Education day. See them use a drop spindle, spinning wheel, knitting machine, as well as yarnbomb an object to be auctioned off later to raise funds in the community. The yarntruck is open 9am to 4pm Friday and Saturday as part of Artisan Alley. Admission to the fair is $10 for Adults and $5 for students aged 6 - 18. Kids five and under are free. The fair takes place at the Kingston Memorial Centre, 303 York Street. Limited free parking at the York Street barn...

Almonte FibreFest

This weekend is the annual Mississippi Valley Textile Museum FibreFest in Almonte! The yarntruck is parked outside the Almonte Arena (182 Bridge St) both Saturday and Sunday, 8 and 9 September. Onboard is a great selection of Koigu Merino yarn, custom-engraved KOLLAGE square needles, new yarn from Yarn Indulgences and more! See you this weekend!  Admission to the FibreFest is $5.
