You are invited to join the Heirloom Sampler Knit Along Launch Event
Date and time: Tuesday 31st March, 7pm.
Where: rowanconnect.net. Sign-up will be available nearer the time.
This Knit Along is a celebration of traditional stitching and thoughtful making. Worked in
Rowan Felted Tweed, a yarn renowned for its character and depth of colour, the blanket
brings together a series of beautiful heritage-inspired motifs. It is designed to be knitted
in one piece from the bottom up, with a border picked up and worked around the edges
once the blanket is complete.
The pattern is released over eight weeks and includes seven stranded colourwork
charts followed by a final release focusing on the border and finishing. The instructions are written for knitting flat in knit and purl rows. If you prefer to knit in the round, an extra
tutorial demonstrating how to add a steek will be provided, allowing you to choose the
approach that suits you best.
At its heart, this project is about slowing down, enjoying the process, and creating something meaningful - a blanket that reflects time, care, and craft, and that can truly become a family heirloom.
You can sign up to receive the pattern releases on knitrowan.com. The live zoom meet ups can be accessed by registering on rowanconnect.net.
You can progress with the project without attending the zoom meetings, however it offers you a great opportunity to ask questions, watch demonstrations and share progress.
