Spun from a premium blend of extrafine Merino, superfine Merino and baby alpaca, Alpaca Soft DK brings a gentle warmth and smooth finish to every stitch, allowing colours to appear clear and vibrant.  It is a pleasure to knit with, gliding easily on the needles while still offering enough structure to keep your stitches even. If you’ve never tried this technique before, you’ll find Kaffe’s approach wonderfully liberating. His iconic designs invite you to play with colour and pattern. It’s truly like painting with yarn.

Whether you’re picking up Intarsia for the first time or looking to rediscover your love of colourwork, you’ll be guided throughout with step-by-step tutorials, inspiring Zoom meetups, and a warm, welcoming Facebook community of fellow knitters. With support, encouragement and plenty of opportunities to share your progress, you’ll gain confidence as you create your own beautiful Kaffe Fassett masterpiece. All the squares in Kaffe’s Signature Squares blanket are worked using intarsia, apart from the final central square, which combines stranded colourwork with intarsia techniques.

You can progress with the project without attending the zoom meetings, however it offers you a great opportunity to ask questions, watch demonstrations and share progress.

Needles & Notions required:
1 pair 4mm (no 8) (US 6) needles
2 double-pointed 4mm (no 8) (US 6) needles (for i-cord edging)
Or needles to achieve correct tension
Tapestry needle

Finished Size:
Completed blanket is 135 cm (53¼ in) wide and approx 110 cm (43¼ in) long excluding i-cord edging. The i-cord edging will add 1 cm (½ in) along all edges.
