This cotton summer tank is knit flat in pieces, then seamed at the shoulders and sides. It can be knit with a decorative stitch or without. This class is suitable for adventurous beginners and intermediate knitters. Students must have knit previously and be able to knit & purl comfortably.

In the first class, we choose yarn, measure & determine size to make, do a test swatch and get started on the tank top. This is a 2-hour class.

In the second class, we shape the armholes and neckline. This is a 2-hour class.

In the third class, we use the 3-needle bind off for the shoulders, mattress stitch for the side seams, and trim the neckline & arms with a single crochet edging. This is a 3-hour class.

There is homework between sessions. There is a lot of knitting to be done between classes one & two. Homework must be done to ensure success in completing the project.
