Berroco's Remix Chunky is perfect for all your larger-gauge projects. This machine washable yarn is an all-season replacement for wool.
Remix Chunky is an 100% recycled yarn made using a low-impact manufacturing process patented in France.
How is it made? Garments and high-quality commercially knit fabric panels left over from the ready-to-wear industry are collected from across Europe and sorted by fibre, then colour. Because these pieces are pre-dyed, there is no need to dye them again, which saves water and prevents water pollution. Instead, colours are created by carefully blending garnetted fibres. Garnetted fibre is the result of shredding old textiles to make a new, fleece-like fibre that is ready to be spun into a new yarn.

Machine wash in cold water on delicate cycle. Lay flat to dry.

Nice and soft
Love this yarn!! It’s a rustic cotton blend. It’s not smooth like most cotton yarns. I knit the Seven Sisters Top with this and it knit up beautifully. I machine washed the finished top in cold water and threw it in the dryer on a warm (not hot) cycle and it came out with no shrinkage, stretching or colour fading. I’ve worn my top numerous times and it still looks and feels great. I will be using this yarn again for sure.
This yarn works up like Cotton yarn and yet has a nice hint of stretch to it. I’m happy that I tried it. I made a pair of boot cuffs and used the remainder to make a cloth that will be a great facial cloth.
