This 100% alpaca sport-weight yarn is a blend of Grades 1 and 2 (also called Royal Baby and Baby). It is available undyed, and hand-dyed. Skeins are approximately 100g each with approx. 250 m each.
Silver Cloud Alpacas started raising alpacas in 1998 as one of the first alpaca farms in Ontario. The farm is near Elginburg, just north of Kingston in eastern Ontario.
Silver Cloud alpacas are looked after with love, and attention to the best possible care and nutrition!

I picked up a hank on a whim during my last trip to Purling J's.
It is SO soft, the colour is incredible (and very consistent throughout the hank) and very lovely to knit with. The quality is incredible.
The fabric it is creating is very light and comfortable, perfect for knits that sit close to the skin.
I also love that this is from a local farm, I love to shop local when I can. This is for sure on my list of top yarns!
