The yarntruck is open this Sunday May 21 in Sharbot Lake! It's the annual Day of the Pig food and drink festival, brought to you by Seed to Sausage. Previous iterations were held at their Tichborne location but due to consistently increased attendance, they're switching things up for this year's event. First of all, it's at Sharbot Lake beach (1021 Medical Centre Road) and also there's an admission charge for adults. But your favourite chefs, wineries and craft breweries from Ottawa and Eastern Ontario are back, plus there's lots more entertainment and stuff for the kids! Visit Purlin' J INSIDE Grant Hall on Saturday December 3 for the Fat Goose Craft Fair. Purlin' J is joining forces with Silver Cloud Alpacas and offering a selection of hand-dyed yarns for sale at their booth inside the building. (In other words, Lil Dorothy, Purlin' J's yarntruck, is in hibernation for the winter!) The show is open 10 am to 4pm. Admission is a toonie for adults. A holiday celebration for the whole family! The yarntruck is attending both days, and soon after will be hibernating for the winter. The address is 25 Markland Street in Kingston (Mulberry Waldorf School). Friday evening November 25 is the "Mulberry After Dark" event which features a fully licensed marketplace of local artisans, so you can shop kid-free. On Saturday November 26, the Winter Fair offers great live music, silent auction, seasonal crafts, artisan vendors, a puppet show and lunch by Epicurious Catering! It's fun for the whole family.
