Kingston Sheep Dog Trials

Kingston Sheep Dog Trials

See you this weekend onboard the yarntruck at the annual Kingston Sheep Dog Trials! There's lots to see and do!

Onboard the yarntruck you'll find new yarn from Ontario's own Yarn Indulgences, plus beautiful new linen needle cases.

Admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Don't forget your lawn chair and sunshade for knitting and dog-watching enjoyment!

Spinning and Weaving demos are by members of the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners Guild and then the famous Sheep-to-Shawl Competition is Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shawls go up for auction at 3:30 on Saturday.

You can also take a free shuttlebus to Grass Creek Park from one of three Kingston locations: Toys R Us Parking Lot (corner of Midland Avenue and Princess Street; park in the southwest corner of the parking lot), the Kingston Memorial Centre (303 York Street; Free parking in the west parking lot near the barns, the Shuttle stops on York Street near parking lot entrance) or the Marriott Hotel at Kings Crossing (101 Dalton Avenue; across from the Landmark Theatre).
