Needle felting for Beginners.
Learn to create a delightful small needle felted bird out of wool roving that can be clipped to your Christmas tree, a plant in your home or gifted to someone special. The wee bird is palm-sized and you have a choice between making a Chickadee or a Wren-like bird. No previous needle felting experience required. Beginners Welcome!
Prerequisites: None. However, needlefelting needles are very sharp. This class is not suitable for children under 10.
Materials to purchase (all available at Purlin' J's Yarn Emporium):
- Roving wool in colours you'd like for your bird
- Needlefelting needles in 36, 38 and 40 gauge.
- A multi-needle holder is recommended to hold several 36/38 gauge needles. Multi-needle tools are an efficient way to create the initial form upon which you place the coloured roving.
