Kingston Fall Fair! Friday and Saturday

Visit the Purlin' J's yarntruck on Friday and Saturday, 14 and 15 September, at the Kingston Fall Fair! The S.A.B.L.E. knitters are demonstrating all day Friday in the Bennett Barn as part of the Agricultural Education day. See them use a drop spindle, spinning wheel, knitting machine, as well as yarnbomb an object to be auctioned off later to raise funds in the community. The yarntruck is open 9am to 4pm Friday and Saturday as part of Artisan Alley. Admission to the fair is $10 for Adults and $5 for students aged 6 - 18. Kids five and under are free. Kingston Sheep Dog Trials

See you this weekend onboard the yarntruck at the annual Kingston Sheep Dog Trials! There's lots to see and do!  Onboard the yarntruck you'll find new yarn from Ontario's own Yarn Indulgences, plus beautiful new linen needle cases. Admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. Don't forget your lawn chair and sunshade for knitting and dog-watching enjoyment! Spinning and Weaving demos are by members of the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners Guild and then the famous Sheep-to-Shawl Competition is Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shawls go up for auction at 3:30 on Saturday.
